This mutant injection molding screw is made from 38CrMoAla steel. Raw material is crucial to screw performance, and we select high-strength and wear-resistant steel from renowned Chinese steel producers that meets national standards (GB/T 3077).

Nanhaiya's mutant injection molding screw have a shorter compression section, typically accounting for approximately 5% to 15% of the total screw length. There's a distinct compression zone between the feed and metering sections, where the screw groove depth suddenly becomes shallower. The energy conversion during plasticization is intense. When the plastic enters the compression section from the feed section, it is subjected to high compressive and shear forces in a short period of time, rapidly compacting and plasticizing the plastic.

Nanhaiya's mutant injection molding screw barrels have undergone numerous R&D and improvements and are now integrated into various manufacturers' production lines, achieving state-of-the-art performance. We offer a 1-2 year warranty, depending on the specific material addition ratio. Nanhaiya's barrels undergo a nitriding process, with a 0.8~2m thick layer of nickel-tungsten alloy spray-welded on the most wear-prone areas. This increases the surface hardness of the barrel is HRC55~62, boosting wear resistance by 2-3 times.

Feature And Application

Nanhaiya's mutant injection molding screw design features a compression section that accounts for only 5%-15% of the total screw length. From the deep groove in the feeding section to the shallow groove at the end of the compression section, the depth changes abruptly, with no smooth transition zone, creating a "sudden compression" structure. The feeding section has a deep groove, designed to store large amounts of solid material; the metering section has a shallow groove, designed to homogenize the melt. The two sections are directly connected by a short compression section. This short compression section subjects the solid material to intense compression and shearing over a very short distance, rapidly disrupting the crystal structure of crystalline plastics and achieving 15%-30% higher plasticizing efficiency than a gradual-change screw.  Resin tiles are a new type of building material that is lightweight, waterproof, heat-insulating, and corrosion-resistant. They are widely used in the construction field and can be used for roofing, wall materials, decorative materials, awnings, and sunshades.

Due to the rapid melting rate of a step-down injection molding screw, the initial melt may have slight temperature unevenness, requiring further optimization of the homogenization effect by adjusting the back pressure and speed in the metering section. Step-down injection molding screws are suitable for low-viscosity, crystalline plastics with a clear melting point, such as polyethylene(PE),polypropylene(PP),nylon (PA), polyoxymethylene (POM), and fluoroplastics (PTFE).
