This non-intermeshing conical twin screw is made from 38CrMoAla steel. Raw material is crucial to screw performance, and we select high-strength and wear-resistant steel from renowned Chinese steel producers that meets national standards (GB/T 3077).

Nanhaiya's non-intermeshing conical twin-screw extruders have non-interlocking flights. The clearances between the screws and between the screw and the barrel wall are large (typically 0.5-2mm), and these clearances can be adjusted based on material characteristics to avoid the forced extrusion and shearing associated with intermeshing screws. The screws are tapered, with diameters gradually decreasing from the feed end to the discharge end. The two screws rotate independently (with adjustable speeds). Material is conveyed primarily by friction and axial thrust from the rotating screws, rather than by the "pushing" action of intermeshing flights. Relying primarily on the natural flow of the material within the screw channel and a small amount of convection mixing, the dispersion uniformity of additives (such as masterbatches and fillers) is poor, making it unsuitable for products requiring high mixing precision (such as highly transparent films and precision profiles).

Nanhaiya's non-intermeshing conical twin screw barrels have undergone numerous R&D and improvements and are now integrated into various manufacturers' production lines, achieving state-of-the-art performance. We offer a 1-2 year warranty, depending on the specific material addition ratio. Nanhaiya's barrels undergo a nitriding process, with a 2mm thick layer of nickel-tungsten alloy spray-welded on the most wear-prone areas. This increases the surface hardness of the barrel from HRC55-60 to over HRC65, boosting wear resistance by 2-4 times.

Non-intermeshing conical twin-screw extruders, due to the lack of intermeshing flight shear, experience far less mechanical shear force within the screw than intermeshing twin-screw extruders. This effectively prevents degradation or fiber breakage of shear-sensitive materials (such as low-melting-point plastics and fiber-reinforced materials).

They are primarily used to produce basic products without complex additives, such as standard PVC drainage pipes, PE agricultural film, and simple plastic rods, where high mixing efficiency is not required to meet quality requirements. Their deep screw grooves and high conveying capacity provide a stable, high-volume melt flow, making them suitable for applications requiring high output but less demanding mixing precision, such as large-diameter PVC pipes (e.g., DN300 and above) and thick-walled plastic sheets.
