Product Introduction

This intermeshing conical twin screw is made from 38CrMoAla steel. Raw material is crucial to screw performance, and we select high-strength and wear-resistant steel from renowned Chinese steel producers that meets national standards (GB/T 3077).

We utilize a thread rolling process. This process creates a fuller, stronger thread profile, preventing breakage. It also controls the thread pitch error to ≤0.1mm, ensuring uniform engagement and minimizing loosening.

Nanhaiya's intermeshing conical twin screw barrels have undergone numerous R&D and improvements and are now integrated into various manufacturers' production lines, achieving state-of-the-art performance. We offer a 1-2 year warranty, depending on the specific material addition ratio. Nanhaiya's barrels undergo a nitriding process, with a 2mm thick layer of nickel-tungsten alloy spray-welded on the most wear-prone areas. This increases the surface hardness of the barrel from HRC55-60 to over HRC65, boosting wear resistance by 2-4 times.

1. Material Conveying: Forced and Stable, No Backflow

The intermeshing structure creates a closed "material chamber" that forcibly pushes the material, completely eliminating the backflow problem associated with low-meshing or non-meshing screws.

Conveying efficiency is significantly unaffected by material viscosity. Even when handling viscous materials such as molten plastics and highly concentrated slurries, a stable feed rate can be maintained, ensuring continuous production.

2. Mixing and Shearing: Strong Effect, Highly Uniform

When the two screws intermesh, they exert a triple action of "shearing," "kneading," and "tumbling" on the material, quickly breaking down material agglomerates and achieving microscopically uniform mixing of the components.

This strong shearing ability also aids material melting or reaction. For example, in plastic extrusion, it can shorten the melting time and achieve more uniform melt quality.

3. Pressure and Temperature: Highly Controllable, Suitable for High-Pressure Operation

The closed chamber effectively establishes and maintains a stable operating pressure, making it suitable for processes requiring pressure, such as sizing pressure in plastic pipe extrusion and pressurized reactions of reactive materials. The material's residence time within the closed chamber is relatively consistent, and heat exchange between the screw and barrel is more uniform, enabling precise control of material temperature and preventing localized overheating or temperature unevenness that could lead to material deterioration.

4. Scope of Application: Targeted Solutions for Difficult Processing Needs

This is particularly suitable for materials with high viscosity, high elasticity, and requiring fine mixing, such as plastics, rubber, adhesives, and high-concentration coatings.

Compared to other screws, Nanhaiya's intermeshing conical twin-screws reduce material residue within the equipment, simplifying cleaning during material changes and indirectly improving production efficiency.

 The primary application areas of intermeshing conical twin-screw extruders cover nearly every critical step in the plastics processing process, from raw materials to finished products.

1. Plastic Extrusion: Used in the production of pipes, profiles (such as door and window frames), sheets, films, cable coverings, and more. Its high conveying capacity ensures stable plastic melt flow, while its strong shearing effect allows for thorough mixing of the plastic with additives (such as masterbatches and antioxidants), ensuring uniform quality in the finished product.

2. Plastic Granulation: Plastic scraps, recycled materials, or new material are melted, extruded, and cut into pellets through the screw. The intermeshing structure ensures thorough melting and plasticization of the plastic, preventing unmelted lumps in the pellets.

3. Specialty Plastic Processing: Processing plastics with high temperature and mixing requirements, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and PC (polycarbonate). Its precise temperature control prevents PVC from decomposing at high temperatures, while its uniform mixing ensures stable mechanical properties of PC products.

A reasonable clearance creates a "sealing zone" during screw operation, reducing the backflow of high-viscosity materials toward the feed end under pressure and ensuring effective forced conveying. This is particularly important for intermeshing conical twin-screw extruders. Nanhai Ya strictly controls the clearance between the two screw teeth, using high-precision machining (such as grinding) to ensure a uniform clearance.
