The working process and operation precautions of the twin-screw foam granulator

The materials pass through the feeding port of the twin-screw foam granulator. Under the action of the rotating screws, they are rolled into balls and move forward along the screw grooves. Due to the shearing, compression and stirring effects of the screws, the materials are further mixed and plasticized, with the temperature and pressure gradually increasing, presenting a viscous flow state. They then pass through the die head at a certain pressure and temperature, and finally the products of the required shape are obtained.

Precautions for the operation of the main unit of the twin-screw foam granulator

1. The rated current of the main unit is the rated current of the motor. During normal operation, it should be controlled below 80% of the rated current, leaving some leeway to prevent overload (please refer to the motor nameplate for the rated current). The rated voltage and frequency of the main unit should be controlled above 50% of the rated voltage and frequency during normal operation.

2. The head pressure sensor is equipped with a digital display meter. The normal operation digital display should be below 10MPa. The operator should constantly monitor the digital display. If it exceeds 15MPa, they should check whether the flow channel is blocked. Feeding should be stopped immediately, and the screw speed of the main machine should be gradually reduced to adjust the digital display on the sensor to below 10MPa. If the digital display remains high, The machine should be manually shut down for inspection.

3. Operators should regularly check the tail lubricating oil pressure gauge (the value is 0.1-0.2MPa). If it is lower than 0.05MPa, the machine should be stopped immediately to inspect the oil circuit, oil pump motor and oil pump, so as to protect the normal operation of the transmission box gears.

4. When in normal operation, there should be operation records.
