This mutated planetary screw is made from 38CrMoAla steel. Raw material is crucial to screw performance, and we select high-strength and wear-resistant steel from renowned Chinese steel producers that meets national standards (GB/T 3077).

Nanhaiya's mutated planetary screw consists of a central screw, several planetary screws, and a barrel with internal teeth. The number of planetary screws is proportional to the diameter of the planetary segments, typically ranging from 6 to 18. The clearance between the screw and barrel teeth is typically 0.2-0.4mm. The planetary segments can be designed as two-stage segments, with a disperser ring positioned in between. This disperser ring increases back pressure, enhances material shear, promotes earlier melting, and improves mixing and degassing performance. 

Key components are made of 38CrMoAla steel, an alloy steel with high tensile strength and wear resistance, to ensure the durability and reliability of the screw and barrel. High precision machining is required for the central and planetary screws, using turning, milling, and grinding to ensure surface quality and dimensional accuracy.

Nanhaiya typically performs surface treatment on mutated planetary screw and barrels to enhance their wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and surface hardness. The main screw is typically double-nitrided, while the driven screw undergoes a combined quenching and nitriding process. The discharge port is electroplated for corrosion protection.

Feature And Application

Some of Nanhaiya's mutated planetary screws feature a unique screw arrangement or tooth profile. These utilize a central main screw surrounded by multiple smaller screws. These smaller screws rotate in a directionally controlled manner along the spiral grooves on the barrel's inner wall, effectively dividing the material into multiple sections for more efficient and uniform shearing and mixing.

Through their optimized structure and temperature control system, these mutated planetary screws can better control the material's temperature and residence time during extrusion, reducing the risk of degradation of heat-sensitive materials. For example, the bottom of the forced feeding device is cooled to prevent heat-sensitive materials (such as PVC) from burning in the feeding device.

Some mutated planetary screws feature a dedicated exhaust port and a specialized internal spiral sealing cap. These ports can be flexibly opened or closed according to actual production process requirements, effectively discharging gases and moisture generated during the mixing process and improving product quality.

Nanhaiya's mutated planetary screws can also be used in PVC sheets, PET sheets, EVA sheets, plastic granulation, high-filled material processing, rubber product processing, heat-sensitive material processing, chemical products, pharmaceutical industry, composite materials, wood processing and other fields. They are used to process adhesives, silicone resins, cable insulation glue, wood-plastic materials and other materials.
