High Temperature Resistant Single Screw Barrel

A high-temperature resistant single-screw barrel is a core component of single-screw extruders, specifically designed to withstand extreme heating environments (usually above 300°C, even up to 500°C for special needs) while maintaining stable material conveying and plasticization performance. It is mainly used for processing high-temperature resistant raw materials that are difficult to plasticize.

Key Characteristics of High-Temperature Resistant Single-Screw Barrels

Superior High-Temperature Resistance: Made of high-performance alloys (such as 38CrMoAlA, H13 hot work die steel, or nickel-based superalloys). These materials can resist oxidation, deformation, and creep under long-term high-temperature conditions, avoiding barrel wear or cracking caused by high heat.

Enhanced Wear Resistance: The inner wall of the barrel is usually treated with surface hardening technologies (like nitriding, laser cladding, or chromium plating). Applications of  high temperature resistant plastics

It is mainly used for processing high-temperature resistant polymers that require high melting temperatures. Common application fields include:

Processing of High-Temperature Resistant Plastics: Such as PEEK, PPS and PI. These materials need melting temperatures above 300°C, and ordinary barrels cannot withstand such high heat.
